More combover...

The pics above (from the E! True Hollywood bio) would appear to be from the same time as the one below. In the doc, they are dated to a theatrical run in 1954 when Bill was just 23. Truth is, Bill Shatner still had plenty of his own hair at this point, so the combover is just for character effect.

Is there a missing combover phase that has so far been undocumented among leading Shatner toupologists... when and for how long this phase lasted remains a mystery!

UPDATE: This image, we understand, is from 1954, a time when we're certain that Bill Shatner wasn't yet balding - so the hairstyle is likely just a character idiosyncrasy of the stage performance.
